Interested in becoming a mentor?
At ManicWorld Magazine, we have an utmost determination to support creatives at every stage of their journey. This includes people just starting out and anyone who has already found their footing in their creative journey.
So, to further this support, we are now looking for reliable and confident creatives in the fields of painting, poetry, prose, and photography to act as mentors for interested creatives.
What kind of mentors are we seeking?
Poetry
Are you a romantic poet or more of the melancholy type? Whatever kind of poetry you write, someone is looking to do the same and express themselves through verses and stanzas. Join the mentorship program and connect with them.
Prose
While we only feature short stories on our website, a lot of our audience and contributors have novelist aspirations, and you just might help them achieve those aspirations. Do you have a few tips and tricks to share about immersing the reader into the story or a clever way to tie up those pesky loose ends? Don’t keep them to yourself and join us now!
Photography
Have you been fiddling with your lenses for a while, and do you feel like you have amassed an amount of knowledge that you think would be beneficial to aspiring photographers or anyone looking to improve? Show them the tricks that took you years to learn in an hour, for a price, of course. Join us as a mentor now.
Painting
Painting is a vague word, and it can take so many forms. We are looking for as many people painting using transfer methods, unconventional ways and all of the sort. We are in the business of inspiring people, even to the point of taking action. Sign up as a mentor and take interested creatives under your wing.
How do you get paid?
So you want to be a mentor and get paid for your time and wisdom. This can happen in two ways. Courses or 1-1 sessions.
For a course/workshop, there is a set date and time and an agenda for the time allocated. This can be in person or online, depending on how you would like to do it. This is all decided by you, how you want the group session should go. Depending on the number of people signed on for the course, you get a cut of every attendee for each session you lead.
For 1-1 sessions, this is more for the mentee, and they get to ask more personal questions and get tailored responses and suggestions from you on how to structure a poem or what aperture setting is best for what kind of location. These will be hourly slots, and you get to choose how much these will cost and receive a cut of the booking price.
The base price for this will be higher than that for the group setting, as it will require more effort and attention. The specifics of it will be designed by you and the mentee who has booked a session with your creative self.
