Anya Nagle (she/they) is a twenty-year-old neurodivergent, queer writer based in Austin, Texas. Usually a playwright and novelist, she spends her days cloud gazing, drinking Dr. Pepper, and chasing after her cat, Orpheus.
Her debut fiction novel Mothic Wreckage was published in January of 2024, with a prequel close on its heels, publication planned for late 2025. She has written three original one-act plays for Speedrun Studios, an Austin-based theatre company: Gillian & Harvey (2023), The When & How (2024), and Every Creeping Thing (2024), all produced at the Trinity Street Playhouse.
She is also the founder of Lilac Lane Film Co., under which she wrote and directed the feature-length film Crying Dry. She recently completed her fourth one-act, entitled Medicine, Medicine, which will be produced this upcoming summer in collaboration with Lilac Lane Film Co.
