Axton Mitchell is a thirty-three-year-old transgender man who lives in a small-town in Ohio ,USA. 

Axton has always had a love for poetry. Growing up in West Virginia left him feeling alone as he grew and realised he was different, so he found an outlet in writing poetry at a pretty young age. 

Aside from writing poetry, Axton has a love for animals and helping others. He spends most of his nights working at local nursing homes (and sometimes traveling) as a state tested nursing assistant. Axton writes a lot about mental health, politics, losing his mom, and other emotionally responsive topics.

Axton has three self published books available on amazon and etsy. As well as one small prompt journal available only on etsy. Axton also posts snippets and full sized poems on social media sites including  tumblr, instagram, discord, facebook,and bluesky. You can find Axton’s work under Poeaxtry on social media.
