Chris Foster – A place of solace

A place of solace,
warmth, and light,
Where memories
dance in the night.
It’s where
I’m free to be me,
Home is where
I long to be.
free to roam,
where walls hold memories close
where laughter echoes in every groan.
It’s not just a place,
but a feeling,
a sanctuary that shields from life’s harsh dealings.
Home is where love resides,
where dreams take flight,
where I find solace and delight.
In the comfort of its embrace,
I find my truest grace,
for home is where
my soul finds its space.
It’s not just walls and a roof,
Home is manifested proof
but a feeling so deep,
A sense of belonging that I only can keep.
A living space of tranquility I no longer have to seek.
It’s where I am truly me,
where I am loved unconditionally,
and where I am truly at peace.
It’s where dreams of poetry take root and grow,
where every corner holds a story waiting to be told.
It’s a sanctuary of comfort in the chaos of life,
In the midst of life’s chaotic whirl,
There lies a hidden refuge found.
solace in the darkest hour.
A peace that settles
Though turmoil rages,
For in this chaos, there is hope.
A haven where we feel empowered.
Home remains a constant
refuge from the storm that rages outside,
of this hectic life,
At the end of a long and weary day,
I find solace in the place where I stay.
Home a living space where in bed
Surrounded by blankets and pillow
Our head may lay. To dream of worlds
In another outer space.
