For me, creating art begins with colour. Each work starts with a burst of colour that sets the tone for what’s to come. From there, I piece it all together like a puzzle—finding fragments, textures, and scraps that fit just right. There’s a joy in that discovery, in seeing how seemingly random elements can come together to form something meaningful. It’s a process that feels like bringing order to chaos, a little like life itself.

While collage is a powerful way for me to make sense of the world, it’s not the only way. Art, for me, is about reflection and connection in whatever form it takes. My collages, however, are a way to externalize those reflections—layering fragments and materials that feel significant to the moment or theme I’m exploring. I aim to create work that invites viewers to reflect on their own stories, memories, and experiences.

Being a mother has also deeply influenced my creative process. Balancing family life with my art is a constant challenge, but it has taught me to be present and embrace the moments that matter. My children often join me in my studio, and I’m inspired by their free-flowing approach to art. It’s a joy to create together, and I find myself learning from them as much as they do from me.

Sustainability plays a big role in my work. I love the idea of transforming what might be overlooked or discarded into something of value. Each collage reflects this belief: that even the smallest scrap can hold meaning when placed in the right context.

More recently, I’ve begun experimenting with animation, bringing my collages to life in a new and exciting way. Moving from static images to dynamic motion has opened up fresh possibilities for storytelling. It’s a thrilling challenge to see my work evolve and shift as it interacts with time, light, and sound.

At the core of it all, my art is about slowing down, reflecting, and discovering meaning in the small moments. Through my collages, animations, and creative process, I hope to create work that resonates with others—inviting them to pause, connect, and find peace, warmth, and inspiration in the layers of their own lives.
