Darshanika Panda
India

Darshanika Panda is an Indian lawyer, socio-legal researcher, poet, and classical dancer who embodies the intersection of intellect, creativity, and advocacy. Beginning her journey as a practicing lawyer, she transitioned into socio-legal research to actively engage with systemic reforms. Her current work focuses on the criminal justice system; particularly around issues of gender justice, mental health, and corrections, where she explores policy-level interventions and public awareness strategies.
A firm believer in the power of storytelling, Darshanika also channels her insights into poetry, with her work featured in several notable literary magazines. Her voice is introspective yet unflinching, capturing emotional depth and societal critique in equal measure.
As a trained classical dancer she has performed at various platforms, including the national television in India, using the stage not just for artistic expression but as a reflection of her commitment to cultural continuity and social consciousness.
With ambitions to publish novels and create a documentary on mental health in prisons, Darshanika continues to merge advocacy and art in powerful ways.
