Egede Deborah Michael
Nigeria

Egede Deborah Michael is a Nigerian journalist, writer, and communications manager currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mass Communication. She has been writing poetry since the age of twelve, long before she understood what it meant to “find her voice,” but instinctively knowing poetry was where her thoughts made the most sense.
Her professional work spans print journalism, digital media, corporate communications, and project development, where she has led content strategy, managed creative teams, and learned the art of making complex ideas readable and occasionally interesting.
Passionate about the creative economy in Nigeria and beyond, Deborah writes essays and reflections on her blog and believes poetry is what happens when structure gets tired and tells the truth anyway.
