K.G. Munro- Glenmore Forest

A paradise for midges and humans,
In reclusion, the seclusion of shadows I hide,
Trying to remove the dirty marks of society
From the mask I am forced to wear
Not here, I can be myself – an imperfect person,
Watching the badgers run, as my tears flow,
Pine tree’s hug me with their branches
Dragonflies light up the sky around me
As my tears mark the heather beneath my feet
Making their purple shimmer, as I listen,
To crested tit birds – singing their lullabies,
I close my azure eyes letting nature embrace me.
