Nathaniel Terrell- On My Way
In the midst of trying times
I am confronted with difficult choices
under immense pressure to make the right decisions.
Knowing complex outcomes await,
I rely on strength, past experiences
and knowledge passed down from my elders
I’ve never seen a man speak to a mountain and it move
although my faith is strong
my common sense is keen
With failure, disappointment and regret behind me
my quest has brought me to my greatest challenge
I am hungry, tired and afraid yet I am also certain
Certain that on the other side of this mountain
is the source to all I’ve ever needed
My purpose and destiny speak with authority to
inner doubt, pain and uncertainty
Life has prepared me for this daunting task
I’ve come too far just to come this far
My faith is not strong enough
to tell this mountain to move
With failure, disappointment and regret behind me
my quest has brought me
to my greatest challenge yet.
