Riley Briays (she/her) is a medical student and emerging poet based in Antalya, Türkiye. She discovered poetry as a way to shape the complex emotions that come with life’s most intimate experiences and was quickly fond of the layers of it.

Her writing is deeply personal, often exploring themes of grief, self-worth, limerence, and affection through vivid imagery and metaphors that evoke visceral feelings. For her, poetry is not just a form of expression, but a tool to navigate the intricacies of the human condition, transforming raw emotion into something tangible and relatable. She believes in the power of the dance of words when they resonate deeply, offering new perspectives on feelings that are often hard to articulate.

Her poems have appeared in Spillwords Press and Everscribe Magazine, and she is continually seeking spaces that value direct, emotionally honest and vulnerable voices. When not immersed in her medical studies, she reflects on life’s quieter moments—finding inspiration in the spaces between heartbreak and joy.
