James’ Blossoming Thoughts
‘The way he sees it, nature is very much like life itself. Of course, nature does have life, so it’s usually easy for him to relate some of the images he has captured to life itself”
For James, nature; a work of art full of colour and life, a source of wonder and awe has always been an inspiration. The way he sees nature is probably not the way other people see it. Nature represents life, hope, love. He has always been one to love nature and being able to take photographs of nature is something he’ll never not love doing.

He grew up in an environment full of greens and flowers and it was always aesthetically pleasing to him. The sunset and sunrise is another part of nature that he adores; the golden hour at sunset, the beautiful orange sun at sunrise. The image below was inspired by that. He saw nature’s artistry on full display, clouds sculpted in a celestial way, ever changing, yet always grand.
The way he sees it, nature is very much like life itself. Of course, nature does have life, so it’s usually easy for him to relate some of the images he has captured to life itself. Just like the Knight Star Lily (Hippeastrum) reminds him of difficult times that sometimes leads to depression. The way the flower curved to the ground demonstrates sadness somewhat. But while he was editing, he made sure he made the colours on the flower pop and the environs quite dark. That’s because, the way he sees it, hope is a thing. Though the lily might not have the ability to stand straight, we can. We have the ability to face life headstrong and to be unnerved by situations that cause this dolefulness…
The Sunflower, a symbol of hope in pure delight, petals bright, like shining rays. The sunflower is one of the most common flowers to come across around his environment. It is always a delight to come across them. And when they are in full bloom, the beauty of the sunflower is irresistible. The sunflower got its name from its characteristic where the flower head turns to follow the sun across the sky. Similarly, as humans strive for hope and positivity in the face of adversity, the sunflower’s constant pursuit of sunlight serves as a metaphor for our own resilience and determination.

As he basks in the beauty of nature’s wonders, he is reminded of the profound lessons they impart; resilience, hope and the cyclical promise of renewal. Like the Lobster Claw Flower below which can thrive in environments with harsh and calm climate, he has learnt to flourish in diverse conditions, which reminds him of resilience, flexibility and openness to growth.
