Areej is a writer from Kashmir. She has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in English Literature from University of Kashmir. Her fields of interest are Brontë studies, Gothic literature, Kashmiri folklore, Kashmiri literary landscape and Derridean literary theory.

Her short story “One Hundred and Seventy Nine Years” appeared in the UK-based Enola’s Magazine. She is currently preparing for PhD admission.
